God's Word is clear -- salvation is a free gift, but rewards are earned. The moment we believe in Jesus, our eternity in heaven is secure. (Ephesians 2:8-9). But what do we do with our life after salvation matters deeply to God. He has promised eternal rewards, often pictured as crowns, to those who live faithfully, love Him fully, and serve Him wholeheartedly. These rewards are not for our ego, but for our joy and His glory.
Rewards really matter to God and should really matter to us.
